この彫刻（こま犬）は、今日のキリンビール社のラベルのもとになったものであり、また、ラベルの「麒麟」に太い口ひげが描かれているのは、キリンビール社の前身であるジャパン・ブルワリー・カンパニーの社長を勤めたグラバーの口ひげをもとにしたといわれている。

This is sculpture perhaps inspired the label for Kirin Beer, which features a "kirin" with a bushy moustache like Glover's. Glober was the president of the Japan Brewery Co., Ltd. Which developed into the present Kirin Brewery Co., Ltd.
